Around 1700 hrs. today Units from Station 3 were alerted for the MVA with people trapped at Routes 50 213. Engine 33 Rescue 3 and Ambulance 30 hit the street with 15 volunteers. Units arrived and found multiple vehicles involved with several patients. Rescue 3 went to work extricating one victim. MSP Trooper 6 transported one patient and several other victims were taken by ground units to local hospitals. QVFD units operated for approx. 1 hour on this incident. On a side note – This was one of our first oppurtunities to Cut into one of the new Hybrid vehicles that are EVERYWHERE today. Try and schedule a company drill with one of these vehicles so your company can see the different electrical systems that are in use and the different routes they are using to run their electrical wires and cables.
