The Officers and Members of the Queenstown VFD would like to send their condolences to the Queen Anne Hillsboro VFD on the passing of their charter member Robert “Gus” Gibson. The following is from their fire dept website: The Queen Anne-Hillsboro Volunteer Fire Company announces, with great regret, the passing of Charter member Robert H. “Gus” Gibson. During his 70 years as a member of Station 8, 80, 800, Mr. Gibson served as President, Vice President, Chief, Assistant Chief, Chief Engineer and nearly every other position of responsibility. In addition, Gus is a past President and Vice President of the Talbot County Volunteer Fire & Rescue Association and the Caroline County Volunteer Firemen’s Association. The viewing will be held at Moore’s Funeral Home in Denton on Friday, January 15th, between 4-6 PM and Hillsboro United Methodist Church on Saturday 12-1 PM.
