Passing of Life Member James “Jim” Lewis, Sr.

The Officers and Members of the Queenstown Volunteer Fire Department regret to announce the passing of Life Member and current Board of Director James Olin Lewis Sr, known to everyone as Jim or Mr. Jimmy.
Jim joined the Queenstown Volunteer Fire Department in 1973, where he held various offices within the Department including President, Vice President, Board of Director and EMS Captain.
Jim retired in 2001 after 32 years as a mail carrier at the Grasonville post office and then took on a second career working for the Fellows Helfenbein and Newnan Funeral Home. Jim was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church in Queenstown, along with an Associate Member of the Queenstown Lions Club.
Jim leaves behind his wife of 57 years Diane, son’s Jamie, Jeffrey, along with his grandkids JT, Jared, Samantha and Joshua.
Services are as follows:
Viewing will be held this Thursday May 18th from 1400-1600 and 1800-2000 hrs at the Fellows Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home Centreville. The funeral will be held this Friday May 19th at 1100 hrs at Fellows Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home Centreville with burial at the Chesterfield Cemetery.
