May be an image of standing, fire and outdoors

30 years ago on November 4, 1991……..
For those who maybe weren’t around during this time. This crash happened on E/B Rt. 50 @ Greenspring Road in Queenstown, near where the old Mrs. B’s truck stop was located. Two tractor trailers going E/B on Rt50 collided, one of which was a tanker carrying gasoline. Two Maryland State Troopers pulled the driver from the one tanker truck. That driver was flown to Shock Trauma with serious injuries. While both tractor trailers burned, an approximate 30 acres field/woods fire were also ignited as a result of the initial crash. Approximately 845 gallons of foam was used, including 500 gallons of foam used from the Easton Volunteer Fire Department foam engine. Fire equipment on the scene included 13 engines, 7 tankers, 1 rescue, 5 brush trucks, 2 ambulances, 3 paramedic units & Trooper 6
