Unit : Engine 32

Engine 32 is a 1999 Pierce Dash, 1500 GPM pumper with a top mounted pump panel, 6″ front intake with soft sleeve and a 1000 gallon poly tank.


Unit : Engine 33

Engine 33 is a 1999 Pierce Dash, 1500 GPM pumper with a top mounted pump panel, 6″ front intake with soft sleeve and a 1000 gallon poly tank. Engine 33 is a twin to Engine 32.



Unit : Rescue 3

Rescue 3 is a 1992 Pierce Lance, 8 person Heavy Duty Rescue Squad that was rehabbed in 2003 and placed back in service in February of 2004. It was purchased used from the Elsmere V.F.C. in Elsmere, Delaware. Rescue 3 is powered by an 8V92TA Detroit Diesel engine through an Allison HT-740, 4-speed automatic transmission. It has Eight 500 watt quartz scene lights built into the body, has a Wanco, PTO driven, 25k generator, and a 9,000 watt light tower. Other equipment carried on this unit include: a 6 bottle 6,000 psi. cascade system, a complete air bag system, Hurst Rescue Tools, with Cutters, Rams and both gas and electric tools. Also carried are six power saws, eight Scott Air Pak 50 SCBA with spare bottles, Heavy-duty jacks, air reels, a porta-power, cribbing, and fans. Rescue Co. 3 also carries some specialized pieces of equipment such as a Slice Pak 02 cutting torch which can be used in under-water rescues. The old 1988 Ford/Salisbury rescue was sold to the Burtonsville V.F.D. in Montgomery County Maryland.


Unit : Brush 3

Brush 3 is a 2002 Ford F-550 crew cab 4×4 chassis with air conditioning and seating for 5. It is powered by a Ford 7.3 Litre Power Stroke Diesel engine through a Ford 4-speed overdrive automatic transmission. The rear body was fabricated by members and includes a 300 gpm diesel Waterous pump, a 250 gallon poly water tank, and carries a 200 ft.1″ booster line, 200 ft. of 1 3/4 attack line. Other equipment carried includes brush rakes, two telescoping 750 watt quartz lights, a front mounted winch, and portable Indian tanks

Unit : Ambulance 30

Ambulance 30 is the newest piece of apparatus that the department has currently in service. It is a 2005 International/MEDTEC type III unit that is powered by a 300 hp Cummins diesel engine with an Allison 5-speed automatic transmission. It was placed in service in October 2004. It carries a Stryker cot, Stryker stair chair, is equipped with scene lights on both sides, a hydraulic oxygen bottle lift, T.V. backing, rear lowering capabilities, and all ALS/BLS eqquippment.
